The Prime Minister of the Republic of Haiti, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, extends his warmest congratulations to the young and talented Ariana Milagro Lafond, the brilliant winner of the 2026 edition of the House of Challenge competition, held this year in Togo.

Through her exceptional talent, authenticity, and the sheer power of her artistic expression, Ariana Milagro Lafond proudly represented Haiti on the international stage. Beyond her victory, Ariana Milagro Lafond, through this competition, helped introduce Haiti to thousands of people around the world, particularly on the African continent. Through her art and her presence, she reminded everyone that Haiti is much more than a Caribbean nation: it is also a land deeply rooted in African history, a living part of an Africa scattered by the upheavals of history.

The Prime Minister also respectfully and admiringly commended her opponent, the young Cameroonian contestant, whose high-quality performance helped raise the level of this competition. Through this event, he extends his fraternal greetings to all the people of Cameroon, as well as to all the peoples of the African continent.

This victory transcends the realm of a mere competition. It powerfully rekindles the historical, cultural, and human ties that bind Haiti and Africa—two sister lands, linked by a shared memory, a common history, and an intertwined destiny, despite the oceans that separate them. It illustrates how culture, talent, and youth can serve as a bridge between nations, bringing people closer together in a spirit of respect, solidarity, and fraternity.

The Government of the Republic of Haiti reaffirms its unwavering commitment to these historical ties and commends this initiative, which, beyond the competition itself, has strengthened relations between Haiti, Cameroon, and the entire African continent, while uniting peoples around shared values.
