In light of these alarming events, the Ministry expresses its profound dismay at actions that harm not only the environment but also a collective asset of inestimable value to the nation.
While calling for calm and responsibility, the Ministry informs the public that the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of the Environment, through the National Agency for Protected Areas (ANAP) and the Southern Departmental Directorate, have taken the necessary measures to secure the site and order the suspension of all activities taking place there, pending the outcome of the legal proceedings in this case, which is currently being examined by the competent authorities.
This environmental heritage of national importance is a crucial asset for species conservation, scientific research, and environmental education. The Ministry also wishes to commend the remarkable commitment of Mr. William Cinéa and his team, whose tireless efforts have made this site a powerful symbol of environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development.
The Ministry of the Environment reaffirms its commitment to supporting any initiative aimed at ensuring the protection of this site, in strict compliance with legal frameworks and current procedures.
