Through this mission, MAST aims to strengthen institutional coordination and the operationalization of social interventions by ensuring the effective implementation of the "PSARA," "Klere Chimen," and "PROPIPED" programs, implemented with the support of partners, including the World Bank. Planned activities include field visits to monitor the Klere Chimen program, particularly the verification of lists of potential beneficiaries. Nearly 22,000 people will receive government support. Also planned are the dissemination of the project's 2021-2026 results and the launch of a second cohort.
Furthermore, the following are also planned: the official launch of the “PSARA” and “Klere Chimen” operations in the South Department; the presentation and promotion of the “PROPIPED” project to local authorities and partners; and the establishment of a departmental social protection sector committee to foster inter-institutional and multi-sectoral collaboration.
Minister Marc-Élie Nelson visited the Grand’Anse Departmental Coordination Office (UGP/MAST) to learn about its operations and potential needs for strengthening institutional capacities. Indeed, the presence of this ministerial delegation in the South and Grand’Anse demonstrates the commitment of the government led by Alix Didier Fils-Aimé to assist vulnerable populations in the current crisis.
