The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Raina Forbin; the Special Advisor, Guerly Leriche; the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Sandra Paulemon; and Haiti’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Erick Pierre.
Faced with a critical situation, he reiterated that restoring state authority is the government’s top priority. “Without security, there can be neither democracy nor development,” he emphasized.
Welcoming the initial results achieved thanks to the national forces supported by the Gang Repression Force (FRG), the Prime Minister stressed the urgent need for a full deployment of this force, accompanied by resources commensurate with the challenges.
He also reaffirmed the State's commitment to sustainably strengthening its defense capabilities, while respecting human rights and the rule of law.
"Haiti doesn't need promises, it needs action," he declared, calling on international partners to honor their commitments.
The Government remains fully mobilized to restore security, organize credible elections, and set the country on the path to stability.
