Mayor Wilson Jeudy officially launched the reopening of the Delmas Municipal Library on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, during a solemn ceremony attended by distinguished guests, including the Chief of Staff to the Minister of National Education, Mr. Ecclésiaste Télémaque; the Director General of the National Book Directorate (DNL), Mr. Ernst Saint-Louis; the Director of the Delmas Tax Office (DGI), Mr. Kenzy Bernard; the head of EDUPOL, Commissioner Dorvil Morency; Professor and poet Marc Exavier; and the Director of the Horatius Laventure High School.
The ceremony also brought together several officials from the Delmas City Hall, including the Chief of Staff, Ms. Dieulique Maréchal; the Director of Human Resources, Ms. Guerlande Brutus Delly; the Director of Engineering, Engineer Bien-Aimé Pierre-Marie Lafont; the Director of Communications, Mr. Frigain Maréchal; and the principals of the two municipal schools, Ms. Dieudoné Vallière and Ms. Ruth Pyram.
On this occasion, numerous schoolchildren and university students from various institutions, including municipal schools, the Horatius Laventure High School, the Center for Diplomatic and International Studies (CEDI), and Saint Francis of Assisi University (USFAH), participated in this significant event.
