During this meeting, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the critical importance of TPS for thousands of Haitian nationals living in the United States and emphasized the need for continued attention from U.S. authorities to address the ongoing challenges in Haiti.
This meeting is part of a series of diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening dialogue with U.S. partners and advocating for the maintenance and renewal of protections granted to the Haitian diaspora, in a still fragile humanitarian and security context.
The Prime Minister also reiterated the Haitian government's commitment to standing by its diaspora, which it considers an essential pillar of national development and a key player in Haiti's international standing.
