Washington, D.C. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Haiti, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, met this Monday with U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock to discuss the security situation, the country's economic and institutional priorities, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
The Prime Minister welcomed the commitment of international partners to Haiti and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to continuing its efforts in the areas of security, institutional reforms, and the organization of free and inclusive elections under appropriate conditions.
Discussions also focused on economic development issues, including job creation for young people and programs to support social stability.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister presented the senator with an official jersey of the Haitian national team, which is participating in this year's FIFA World Cup, as a token of friendship and appreciation.
