Discussions addressed shared priorities, including strengthening national security, deploying the Gang Repression Force (FRG), consolidating institutions, preparing for free, credible, and inclusive elections, and renewing the HOPE/HELP agreements.
Both parties welcomed the progress made in establishing the FRG and emphasized the need to ensure its full and rapid operationalization. The Secretary of State reaffirmed the United States' commitment to supporting the Haitian government's efforts to restore state authority and strengthen coordination among security forces.
This strategic convergence illustrates the shared will to act decisively in the face of security challenges, in order to create the conditions for a lasting return to institutional stability and democratic order.
