The Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights (MCFDF), in a press release dated April 6, 2026, strongly condemns the acts of sexual assault and harassment committed against young girls during a festival in Cap-Haïtien.

The Northern Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights (MCFDF) expresses its outrage at a video circulating on social media showing acts of sexual assault and harassment committed against young girls during a festival, including unwanted touching.

These acts are a serious violation of women's dignity and their physical and psychological integrity. They are considered sexual assault and are severely punished by law.

The Ministry of Women's Affairs and Family (MCFDF) strongly condemns these acts and announces that measures will be taken to identify and punish the perpetrators.

The Ministry calls on victims to come forward, file complaints, and organize themselves to ensure that justice is served. Anyone with information is urged to cooperate with the relevant authorities.
